If you don’t know that road is being constructed in the parts of Manaslu trail, you should hike through dusty road… but if you no longer want to follow the traditional highway, you can avoid this part. It literally means that you go from the east side.
The suitable alternative trail to avoid road building for the Manaslu trek as per our guides’ evaluation is via Manbu – Yatsa – Keraunja – Runchet – Hulchut – Dovan.
This trail passes through inhabitants of Ghale and Gurung people like many trails of Annapurna and Manaslu. Still, it does not offer a sufficient number of tea houses as it is not popular as much as the traditional route of Manaslu. But in Manbu village, we have found two small hotels or tea houses with a capacity of 6/7 people. Therefore, tent camping is suggested for this route while you can have food in families’ houses.
