Before 4-5 years ago, you have to walk or trek after reaching Aarughat. After that, it became feasible to drive to Soti Khola and begin the Manaslu trek. Now, the raw path of road has been reached at Machha Khola but it is still hard to directly drive to Machha Khola but can drive to Lububeshi which lies between Machha Khola and Soti Khola. After 3-4 hours walk from Soti Khola, you will reach Machha Khola.
Hence, It clearly shows that you can make the day-long trip from Kathmandu to arrive at Machha Khola (7 hours drive from Kathmandu to Lububesi and a 3-4 hours walk to Machha Khola).
Updated: Now you can drive to Machha Khola from Kathmandu by jeep. So, now you don’t need to trek from Soti Khola. However, if you want to, then you can.
